Police are investigating as a homicide the death of a woman whose body was found on Monday, Dec. 14 in her Essex home.

The victim is Shelly Lynn Fillion, 47, of the unit block of Skipjack Court in Essex. A family member who checked on Fillion yesterday afternoon found the woman's body and notified police. Fillion had not contacted her family since Saturday.....


Baltimore County Police are investigating a Saturday, Dec. 12 crash in Rosedale that killed a man.
 
The preliminary investigation into the crash in Rosedale indicates that just before 1:30 a.m., a BMW 328I was traveling southbound on Chesaco Avenue, south of Dalrose Avenue. The vehicle went off of the roadway and struck a concrete culvert, several trees and two parked cars. The passenger in the vehicle was ejected....



On Dec. 11 at 8:32 a.m, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to Deep Creek Middle School in the 1000 block of Marlyn Avenue in Essex for a report of a strange odor. The odor caused the evacuation of students from the school.

An investigation into the incident has indicated that a 12-year-old female seventh grade student had brought a small can of pepper spray to school, which accidentally discharged. The discharge affected multiple students and teachers. Police have taken the pepper spray container into evidence. Any criminal charges against the student will depend on the outcome of the investigation....

At  4:42 p.m. on December 4, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to Pulaski Highway and Allender Road in White Marsh for a report of a vehicle fire. When Fire personnel arrived on the scene, they found that two people, not a vehicle, had been set on fire.
 
The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that the suspect’s vehicle had run out of gas at the location at Pulaski and Allender Road. The suspect had just returned to his vehicle with a container of gas when he encountered the first victim....


Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have charged two individuals in connection with the homicide of Travis Harrell Best, 34. Best was found dead near the Elks Lodge on Harford Boat Club Road on Aug. 12......

On Dec. 1, Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Lauren Paulette Valiquet, 28, of of the 100 block of Fuller Avenue in Overlea, and Walter McMillan Dorsey, 33, of the 100 block of Fuller Avenue in Overlea....
